【Preface前言】
13.8 billion years ago, the Big Bang gave birth to our universe. The solar system formed 4.6 billion years ago, and Earth appeared 4.55 billion years ago. Through vicissitudes, life emerged, natural selection, survival of the fittest, the rules of nature, generation after generation. Once the overlord of Earth, without the support of civilization, only existed for a while; facing changes in nature and environment, species that only prey on the weak eventually disappeared into the long river of Earth's history.
About 66 million years ago, primate ancestors appeared; 7 million years ago, the origin of Hominidae; about 2.5 million years ago, Homo habilis emerged, began making stone tools, and recognized things. 300,000 years ago, the rise of Homo sapiens, the word "civilization" began on Earth. Writing, thought, skills, and religion impacted human society; survival, desire, tribes, states, plunder, creation, war, and integration formed human history. After important stages, humans began to reflect on themselves; a large number of sages' thoughts and good religions emerged to guide human progress.
Time has come to the 21st century, human civilization has undergone earth-shaking changes, many material fields have reached their peak, education is popularized, knowledge is abundant, and human spiritual civilization has also reached a high level. In 2025, Earth's civilization is at a critical crossroads. On one side, controlled nuclear fusion may be achieved in a short time, solving the ultimate energy source and leading to interstellar civilization and material abundance; on the other side, international and social contradictions are numerous, causing instability. Today, perhaps every citizen of Earth needs to think and choose. Power leaders and resource holders should perhaps put aside prejudices, understand each other, cooperate to remove the last obstacles, help humanity and Earth upgrade to interstellar civilization, and move toward the ideal world that humanity yearns for.
This book is divided into three parts, representing the author's thoughts and humble opinions on the universe and life. There may be mistakes, and corrections are welcome.
